If I heard Job 28 read but did not have the opportunity to also hear where it was taken from (or otherwise see it), my guess would have been that it was taken from the Book of Proverbs, or of Ecclesiastes. The influence on Solomon is very clear here. We would be well advised to be similarly instructed.

Study committee votes consensus statement on ‘Theology of Ordination”
By a vote of 86 to 8 – a 9:1 ratio – delegates at the Seventh-day Adventist Church’s Theology of Ordination Study Committee (TOSC) agreed today to approve a consensus statement on an Adventist theology of ordination. The action was an early endorsement of the goal of TOSC leaders to move through the challenging issues surrounding the church’s discussion of ordination.

Rob Lloyd, 64, Conference Secretary and Pastor, Dies on Mission Trip
Seventh-day Adventist pastor Rob Lloyd, 64, executive secretary and ministerial director of the Hawaii Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, as well as pastor of the Kailua Seventh-day Adventist Church, died on July 6, 2013, after being hospitalized while en route to a mission trip in Rwanda.

The much anticipated Atlantic Caribbean Union Teachers’ Convention became a reality on July 14, 2013, when all roads led to the Sheraton Miami Airport Hotel and Executive Meeting Center, Miami, Florida under the astute leadership of Dr. Cheryl Rolle, Education Director Atlantic Caribbean Union. It was the first of its kind for this brand new territory of the Inter-American Division of Seventh-day Adventists.

Women's Ministries group brings cheer to nursing home residents
SANTA CRUZ, St Elizabeth:AS PART of their witnessing and outreach activities, the members of the Women Ministries Department of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Santa Cruz take time out each month to visit and worship with the residents of the Roses Garden Nursing and Retirement Home. The church members have become familiar faces to residents who most of them now know by name.

ATCU's Youth Delegates Join Thousands at World Youth Congress
On Wednesday, June 26, 2013, seventeen youth and youth leaders from the three countries within the Atlantic Caribbean Union (ATCU) began their journey to South Africa to participate in the much anticipated 3rd World Congress on Youth and Community Service (WCYCS). After an average of twenty-one hours of flying time, the delegates from the Bahamas, the Cayman Islands, and the Turks and Caicos Islands arrived in Cape Town, South Africa to begin the first phase of the WCYCS, which was a week of community service projects.
