Northern Caribbean University (NCU) scholars again dominated the Information Technology and Communication (ITC) landscape when a team of three copped the top prize in the i3 Innovation competition held recently at the Scientific Research Council (SRC) offices in Kingston. The team walked away with the first prize: $300,000 worth of Brand and Marketing Development with Strategic Planning from The Production Lab; $20,000 cash prize; nomination for the Ministers Innovation Awards; Tablet computers; the 2013 i3 competition champion’s trophy. The team wowed the judges with their presentation for Inventive Learner project, despite the fierce challenges from other institutions nationally.

Three Seventh-day Adventist colleges and universities – Southern Adventist University in Collegedale, Tenn.; Southwestern Adventist University in Keene, Texas; and Union College in Lincoln, Nebraska – are planning a collaborative arrangement to save money and strengthen Adventist education, officials say. The venture, called the Adventist Educational Alliance, will begin cooperative moves this fall, they added.
