Northern Caribbean University (NCU) intercollegiate volleyball team continued its rampaging thrust in the competition when they served the G C Foster College of Physical Education and Sports (GCF) team its first round defeat at the NCU’s gymnatorium on Thursday March 13. The now highly fancied debutant team, NCU, waltzed passed the more seasoned campaigners 3-0. The straight set victory saw NCU winning 25-14, 25-23, and 25-16 to now move its winning tally to seven games.

On Sabbath March 29, hundreds of student from Northern Caribbean University (NCU) gathered at the crack of dawn, for the annual NCU’s United Student Movement’s (USM) Church Impact. This year’s chosen destination was St. Thomas – with the theme ‘Break Every Chain’. The contingent was dispersed across major churches in the parish including; Rowlands Field, Hampton Court, Bath and Danvers Pen. Each contingent had a different story to share.

Wright hails from the parish of Portland where she resides with her parents and sister, Alfanso and Rose Wright; and her sister, Alphanscena. A proud alumna of the Seventh-day Adventist owned and operated Portland High school, Wright served as the head girl and the 4H Club president. After class, the gentleman was apologetic and expected to be reprimanded as he had not been paying attention in class and had not done well on the homework. Instead, Pretel told him she was worried about him and asked if she could pray with him.
