University President, Dr Trevor Gardner delivered the main address under the theme, “Kosher Pigs”. Dr. Gardner urged the congregation, with many positive thinking new students, to be steadfast in their quest for not just a tertiary education, but for the highest quality education that is needed today. “This is the education that is packaged and presented at Northern Caribbean University where learning never ends.”

Northern Caribbean University’s (NCU) Netball team chalked up its first victory in the inter-collegiate netball competition, as they beat Knox Community College (KCC) 25-24 in a nail biting encounter at the KCC’s courts in Spalding on Thursday October 9, 2014. The NCU ladies facing parish rivals in the first game of the ‘Manchester derby,’ fought from the opening whistle to the very end to come from behind to beat their tertiary neighbours. This victory has NCU precariously poised at the top of the table with its first win from the opening encounter.

Debutant Northern Caribbean University (NCU) female football team edged a seasoned campaigner’s Shortwood Teachers’ College (STC) one nil in the Inter-Collegiate female football competition at the Victor Dixon High playfield in Mandeville. NCU, the debutant team for the 2014 season, entered its first home game of the season looking more excited and purposeful than their more seasoned opponents.
