The Northern Caribbean University’s (NCU) gymnatorium was buzzing with activities on Thursday October 30, as the NCU’s netball team pulled off a nail biting one point win over arch rival Knox Community College (KCC) in the inter-col junior league match to maintain is 100% win record with a narrow 27-26 win. The game which was the sixth of the season for the NCU ladies and defending junior league champions was played on Thursday.

NCU Male Football Team Swamp SSTC 3-0 in Inter-Col
The Northern Caribbean University (NCU) male football team swamped a hard running Sam Sharpe Teachers’ College (SSTC) team 3-0 at the NCU’s oval ‘The Azteca’ in an intercollegiate division one match on Monday November 3, 2014. The match, which was dubbed the game changer for both teams in the league, lived up to its expectation as the visiting team came hunting for all three points. With the support from the NCU faithful, the home team was first to settle with its slick, brisk passing and off the ball running that had the SSTC team chasing shadows early in the game.

NCU Netball Team Remains Top of Its Group
Defending champions Northern Caribbean University (NCU) netball team remain at pole position in the intercollegiate junior league despite a minor setback in its seventh game of the season. The ladies from the ‘Hill’ recently lost its 100% win record when they faltered against third place team Montego Bay Community College (MBCC) 24-26 in Montego Bay. Despite the challenge, the team is still buoyed and eager to continue on its trek to defend its inter-collegiate junior title.

NCU Completes Another Para-professional Training at NPCJ
Northern Caribbean University (NCU) once again offered its para-professional training course to the newest additions of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) on Friday, October 31 to Saturday, November 1. The training which took place at the grounds of the National Police College of Jamaica in Twickenham Park, St. Catherine was offered to over 150 recent graduates of the institution.
