A setback is the setup for a comeback. This adage is ringing in the minds and hearts of the Northern Caribbean University (NCU) male football team as they experienced a minor setback in its game against Excelsior Community College (EXED) recently at the EXED field. The challenge faced by the NCU team was one that no one saw coming as an understrength team went down two nil to a hard running EXED contingent. Having missed numerous goal scoring opportunities, the visitors were left to reflect on the many chances that could have easily given them the valuable three points.

The Northern Caribbean University (NCU) combined badminton teams have advanced to the finals of the intercollegiate badminton competition with recent victories against GC Foster College at the NCU’s gymnatorium 8-2. The NCU’s final preliminary game of the season saw the women enjoying a clean 5-0 sweep over GC Foster College of Physical Education (GCF) while the NCU men prevailed over the men from Angels, Spanish Town 3-2. The victories have placed NCU ladies at the helm of the points standing and the men’s team in a safe second spot.

The Northern Caribbean University (NCU) basketball team, the NCU Lions, returned to winning ways on Tuesday November 11, 2014 when they roared passed a hapless Mico University College (Mico) at the NCU courts 86-57 in intercollegiate division one competitions. The home team was always in control of the game from the opening whistle with comfortable leads in all quarters of the game. The home team, fielding a full strength line up gave the partisan crowd enough to cheer about as they ran havoc on the game plan of the visiting Mico team.
