Disappointment abounded as a controversial officiating decision led to the match between Northern Caribbean University (NCU) and the University of the West Indies (UWI) ending in a draw. The Monday evening affair, at the NCU oval on November 5, saw the male football team suffering a slight setback to its campaign in the third round of the Inter-collegiate football competition with a 1 all score line. The fiercely contested match had both teams hunting crucial point, and the fast paced UWI team’s game plan was to push the NCU’s contingent in a defensive mode while they sought early goals. The NCU’s contingent had revenge on their minds as they sought to avenge the lost they suffered last season to their more experienced division one counterparts.
