Mid Table Finish for NCU Footballers

Northern Caribbean University (NCU) male football team recently ended the Inter-Collegiate division 1 season mid table, following its final game of the season at G C Foster (GCF) College in Spanish Town. The NCU contingent were forced into its second loss of the season as they were outplayed by a more robust and prepared G C Foster College team. The home team which were preparing to play the finals for the third consecutive year entered the game with five wins and one loss, following a defeat to the University of Technology team. The home team had already booked their place in the finals, and were focused on arriving there in style.

The Community Counselling and Restorative Justice Centre (CCRJC) at Northern Caribbean University (NCU) hosted another of its Empowerment Training Closing Ceremonies on Monday, November 26, 2012 at the Church of God of Prophecy Church in New Green, Manchester. Adolescents and parents from Grove Place and New Green were awarded for successfully completing the empowerment programmes. Mr. Patrick George Smith, Associate Vice President of University Relations at NCU delivered an uplifting address as the main speaker.

The ladies from Mandeville travelled to St. Joseph Teachers’ College, where the inter-col had a series of third place playoff games in the three divisions, to stamp their dominance on the home team. The Jamaica Jubilee Concert held at Northern Caribbean University (NCU) on Saturday, November 24, 2012 delivered entertainment and amusement to all who attended. The event which was held at the university’s Main Campus in Mandeville was part of Alumni Homecoming celebrations which ran from November 22-25, 2012. It was organised by the Office of Alumni Relations and the Department of Music and featured the NCU Chamber Choir as the main act.

President's XI outclasses student football team in 5-1 victory

The President’s XI Football Team won its debut game last Thursday 5-1, taking down the ‘Invincibles’ (A Student Football Team selected by the USM) in a battle for glory, honour and pride. The match was one of the opening events to jump start Alumni Homecoming which ran from November 22-25, 2012.
