USM Debates: HUBBS Proves to be the ‘Hub of Information’

The College of Humanities, Behavioural and Social Sciences was crowned Northern Caribbean University’s (NCU) United Student Movement’s (USM) debate champions, after team members Jevon Minto, Maniere Johnson, Sasha Rowe and Tajay Ferguson endured five rigorous rounds of debating. This competition saw the use of the British Parliamentary style. B.P as it is often called, requires that its participants be a well-read citizen, as motions are given only fifteen minutes before each match.

The conference which is one of the main events held during the university’s Research Week is designed for seniors and MBA candidates, and provides exposure to current trends and issues in business and hospitality management from both an academic and practitioner’s perspective.
