Many individuals plan their vacations months in advance. While summer may be about “having fun”; it is also a great opportunity to make some extra cash. The team from Northern Caribbean University’s Office of Civic/Governmental Relations for Community Advancement held the first of its island wide training at the East Jamaica Conference (EJC) Office of Seventh-day Adventists in Kingston from Tuesday, May 5 to Thursday, May 7, 2015.

Fourth and fifth form students of May Day High School in May Day, Manchester benefited from a Mathematics Marathon organized by Northern Caribbean University (NCU)’s Department of Mathematics recently. The department along with the academic club, Society of Mathematicians and Engineers (SOME), have partnered with the May Day High school in central Manchester to engage students doing the 2015 CSEC examinations and others with the passion to master the craft in a Mathematics Marathon.

West Indies Collage Preparatory School, in Manchester, under the leadership and support of Principal Mrs. Lowry Spence participated in the 2015 National Visual Arts Competition staged by JCDC at the National Gallery of Jamaica. This year the institution received five awards which includes a bronze medal.
