Alex Bryan, senior pastor at the Walla Walla University Church, has been named president of Kettering College of Medical Arts in Kettering, Ohio. Bryan will become the sixth president in the college’s 45-year history. The college serves as the educational component of Kettering Medical Center, conducting instruction in the arts, sciences and allied health professions. Kettering is part of the Seventh-day Adventist Church’s health system.

A team from Northern Caribbean University (NCU) travelled to Emancipation Park in Kingston City for the second in a series dubbed NCU Connect 2013 on April 18. Visitors to the exhibitions mounted at Emancipation Park in New Kingston learnt about the wide variety of programmes offered by the university and benefited from free health checks. They also stood the chance of winning tuition scholarships and discounts. NCU FM was on site and carried a live outside broadcast of the day’s activities.

Sqooshkappers are now as popular as ever. I know of at least one individual who has preached them through and argued them out in college classrooms. I may or may not have ever seen a sqooshkapper. This is because their particular form, substance, texture, or otherwise depend on nothing beyond some immediate logical or theoretical end, some pressing academic or sermonic purpose. Nevertheless, people who have seen and not seen them may still be willing to attest their reality.
